AMD haalt it-topman van Dell in huis

Chipfabrikant AMD heeft Ahmed Mahmoud benoemd tot chief information officer (cio). Mahmoud is afkomstig van Dell waar hij vice president it was.

Mahmoud wordt als cio bij AMD verantwoordelijk voor de volledige it-infrastructuur van het bedrijf. Hij zal rapporteren aan ceo Hector Ruiz.

De voorbije 13 jaar werkte Mahmoud bij Dell, waar hij tal van transformatieprojecten rond datawarehousing, virtual storefront, manufacturing, supply chain en de pure bedrijfs-ict leidde. Zijn laatste functietitel was er ‘vice president it’. Voor zijn passage bij Dell werkte Mahmoud voor Eastman Kodak, de universiteit van Houston en de Texas A&M University. Van opleiding is hij fysicus.
